This is a walk around of the AGM-28A Hound Dog long range, stand-off air-to-ground strategic missile. It was carried in pairs beneath the wings of B-52 bombers. Development was initiated in 1957 during the early years of the cold war. It was designed to be carried on airborn alert B-52 aircraft to give them long range strike capability. The first launch took place in 1959 when a Hound Dog was launched from a B-52G.
