These photos of the Czech Gripens were all taken in the Czech Republic during September and October of 2006.

Photos 1-3 show general views of aircraft #9236 - JAS39C - at the Czech International Air Festival in Brno in September, 2006.  The ground crew were preparing it for departure.

Photos 4-8 show aircraft #9243 - JAS39C - at the open day of the air base at Namest nad Oslavou, just to the west of Brno.  This was also in September of 2006.

Photos 9-11 show aircraft #9820 - JAS39D - at NATO Day at Moznov airport which is not far from the north eastern city of Ostrava, October 2006.

The Czech Air Force replaced the last of their MiG-21s with the Gripen in 2005, they use the single seat C version and the two seat D version.

The Czech Gripen fleet is based at Caslav in the central part of the republic.
