Due to the introduction of the FlaPz Gepard and the Leopard 2, the Bergepanzer 2 A2 was introduced. The reason is the high tower weight of these vehicles. The Bergepanzer 2 A2 differs from the Bergepanzer 2 externally only by the hydralic stamp on the rear right side.
